ESPN's 'The Last Dance' on Netflix, documentary review

Updated: Oct 28, 2021

ESPN's The Last Dance docu-series was some of ESPN's finest work yet. Director Jason Hehir went all out, collecting a number of great interviews from Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Phil Jackson, Steve Kerr, and so many other important coaches, players, executives and various personalities from the 1990s. It may have been the best film that ESPN has created, which is a tall compliment, considering the number of excellent 30 for 30 films the worldwide leader has already released, including the award-winning OJ Simpson series.

With ESPN's The Last Dance docu-series coming to a close, Jack is joined by Johnathan Clancy and Daniel Setzke to recap and discuss their favorite parts of the series.

What were the series' weaker points? How much should Jerry Krause's decision to break up the Bulls tarnish his legacy as an NBA exec? Was Krause represented accurately and fairly in the documentary? What was missing from the doc? And what made the series so great?

We explore all these topics and so much more! Tune in, and enjoy!
