2020 MLB preview: the AL East

In the second part of our 2020 MLB Preview series, Jonathan Jaggard returns to the podcast to preview the AL East and project win totals for the division's teams.


Boston fired Dave Dombrowski and traded Mookie Betts and David Price. What are realistic expectations for the Red Sox this year? (5:00 - 18:55). The Blue Jays have one of the most exciting young infields in baseball with Bichette, Biggio and Vladdy Jr. Will they see a significant improvement in the win column from a year ago? (18:55 - 32:50). The Orioles lost 108 games in 2019. What do the fans have to get excited about in 2020? Spoiler: not a lot (32:50 - 43:20). In 2019, the Yankees were able to overcome a great number of injuries en route to a division title. With Aaron Judge expected to miss a significant amount of time to open the season, are the Yanks in danger of falling into a Wild Card spot? (43:20 - 59:00). With a healthy Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow returning the Rays' rotation, do the Rays have what it takes to steal the division away from the Yankees? (59:00 - 1:15:20).
