After an exciting first round of the Greatest Christmas Movie of All-Time Bracket, the action has not disappointed.
While most of round one's contests were decided in a landslide, there were a pair of match-ups that resulted in a photo finish over the last week. On Friday, #2 Die Hard narrowly beat #7 Love Actually 65-60. The "Is Die Hard a Christmas movie?" debate is alive and well; I did not expect that match-up to be as close as it was. Die Hard will have its work cut out for itself in the Sweet 16 vs. The Santa Clause.
Earlier in the week, #3 White Christmas fell to #6 Deck the Halls, 48-42. The Christmas comedy starring Matthew Broderick and Danny DeVito was the only 6 seed (or lower) to advance to the Sweet 16.
