Following two weeks of voting, the GOAT Christmas Movie Bracket is down to the Elite Eight.
The closest match-up of the Sweet 16 came in the form of Wednesday's 1-4 match-up. #1 It's a Wonderful Life just barely inched its way past #4 The Santa Clause 2, 53-49. The 2002 sequel put up a good fight, but unfortunately it was not enough to take down the 1946 classic. It's a Wonderful Life will face Charlie Brown Christmas, hot off a 86-13 victory over Deck the Halls, on Tuesday.
In the biggest upset of the bracket thus far, #5 Polar Express knocked out #1 A Christmas Story, 57-42 on Thursday, an outcome nobody could have expected. Here's a look at the full scoreboard:
#1 Elf 96, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York 21
#2 Christmas Vacation 85, A Christmas Carol/Scrooge (1951) 23
#3 How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966) 56, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer 38
