Brad Culpepper talks Urban Meyer, Florida, NFL career, 'Survivor'

Updated: Dec 22, 2021

Former NFL defensive tackle, Florida Gators football great, two-time Survivor contestant and current trial lawyer Brad Culpepper visits the Jack Vita Show to discuss Urban Meyer receiving the boot from Jacksonville Jaguars (and why Urban didn't stick in the NFL), his time playing in the NFL under coaches Tony Dungy, Lovie Smith and Herm Edwards, his thoughts on Florida hiring Billy Napier as its next head coach, how college football and the NFL has changed since he played (1992-2000), potential College Football Playoff expansion, how he met his wife (1991 Florida homecoming queen and fellow two-time Survivor contestant) Monica Culpepper, how he got cast on Survivor and his time on the island, his experience playing with Warren Sapp, John Lynch and Brian Urlacher, his children's success in sports, and much, much more!

Brad played nine years in the NFL (1992-1993 with the Minnesota Vikings, 1994-1999 with the Tampa Buccaneers and 2000 with the Chicago Bears). He was the captain of the Florida Gators' first SEC championship team in 1991. In 2013 he competed on Survivor: Blood vs. Water alongside his wife, Monica, and he finished second on Survivor's 34th season, Survivor: Game Changers, airing in 2017.
